The History Behind our Region

The Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain was formed in 1980 by the late Harry Ward. The inaugural meeting took place in Reading and attracted 37 members. From these small beginnings the club has grown to some 3500 members across the British and Channel Isles and comprises 37 regions.

Alba Wings Region was formed around1992 and the first AGM took place in 1994. Up until then, we were a sub-region of Border Wings.
We have various meetings, outings and charity events throughout the year, as well as our monthly meetings where we discuss the forthcoming business and events.

We meet up with other regions and independant wing clubs and like to socialise as we Scots do, all over Britain and Europe, meeting and greeting our long lost friends (from last month) and enjoy the  cameraderie it brings, and the friendships it creates for the future.

MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE
1st SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH
12.30pm, Tinto Hotel

Symington (near Biggar)

Every year we nominate a charity and throughout that year we collect monies at various events and give it to our nominated charity at the end of the season
